Welcome to the mentoring program in Florence. As a mentor, you play a crucial role in talent development. This commitment represents 30 to 60 minutes monthly, distributed as needed.
Mentoring Objectives
1
Knowledge Platform
Provide talents with a platform of knowledge, resources, and contacts to help them explore different career options and prepare as best they can. This is an educational relationship.
2
Internship Strategy
Identify opportunities that are adapted to the professional goals of the talents.
3
Interview Preparation
Prepare talents for interviews by providing practical advice and organizing training sessions and case studies if necessary.
4
Personal Development
Encourage the acquisition of interpersonal skills.
The mentor's values are commitment, sharing, consideration, benevolence, and confidentiality.
What Mentoring is Not:
Favoritism
Florence values talent and equal opportunities. The victories of the talents remain theirs.
A Copy/Paste
Each talent and mentor is unique. The uniqueness of each is honored.
A Recruitment
Mentoring does not in any way commit to hiring the talent in one's company, nor even to have them apply by principle.
Sponsorship
No financial support is expected. It is a relationship of listening and advice.
Frequency and Duration of Meetings
1
Monthly Frequency
Meetings should take place at least once a month, with flexibility to accommodate the schedules of mentors and talents.
2
Flexibility
Sessions can be conducted via video, in-person, by phone, or by email. It can also be a simple connection with a member of your network who can answer the talent's questions.
3
Voluntary Commitment
Mentoring involves a serious investment and the willingness to make efforts on both sides.
Internship Strategy
1
Identifying Objectives
Help talents define their short and long-term career goals, and establish a coherent path
2
Guidance on the Path
Guide the development of a strong resume and the acquisition of relevant experiences.
3
Opportunity Selection
Collaborate to choose internships aligned with the talent's goals and capabilities.
4
Filtering
Through its platform, Florence will communicate the opportunities that your talent is eligible for based on the needs of our partner companies. It is up to the mentor to use their market knowledge to filter these opportunities in an ambitious, coherent but realistic way for the talent.
Interview Preparation
Practical Tips
Offer advice on how to effectively present yourself and respond to common questions.
Practice
Organize mock interviews, case studies, and provide constructive feedback. The responsibility for these sessions can be entrusted to anyone you deem capable. The Florence platform also allows talents to book mock interviews when the mentor deems them ready to try.
Case Studies
Mentors can provide corrected or uncorrected case studies to allow Florence talents to prepare as best they can.
Personal Development
Personal Reflection
Encourage introspection on strengths and weaknesses.
Effective Communication
Advise on building professional relationships.
Curiosity
Stimulate interest in continuous learning.
By becoming Florence's mentor, you agree to respect these simple principles.
We thank you for your commitment, support, and friendship towards Florence. Your contribution will have a significant impact on the professional lives of the talents you support.
